Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

@Kerstin: Thanks, I did enjoy looking for a good quote to put with it - something about Dads and sons that is quite special, and not celebrated as much as I would like. Perhaps that's a good subject for a series!!!
I like your firs image but I think that I prefer this one in B&W!

@Still: Thanks, I think I like it in B&W, not sure whether I should have pushed the contrast a bit more, but quite like the softness of the shading in this version...
A beautiful black and white portrait! Really like this one.

@Anne: Thank you - I'm still quite new to doing the postprocessing with photoshop, so it's taking a while to work out how to make nice B&W images, but I am having fun!!
Strong image. Nicely taken. It makes me wonder what were they talking about. I believe that would give a series alright. Yes please.

@Ahraht: Thank you, must work on it!
There's a great relationship going on here. Excellent pic. Are there different greys happening? Is it greyscale?
