It was a very still day on the water, just as well because I do get a wee bit seasick. These guys were attracted by the fish bait and the large kahawai I caught (I had to put that in!).
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

@Jerry: My pleasure - but wait! There's more!!!
Are you on a boat, or just beside the sea? You seem to have a lot of patience capturing these noisy little creatures. And you just do excellent shots!

@Behrooz: On the boat for this series - and the water was flat... There were quite a few shots that didn't work I can tell you!
Great shot again Bronnie! Take some Gravol! How big was that Kowahai _____________________so big________________? ;)

@Anne: You doubter!!! It was <-----------------------------------------------------------<< this big!! Go here http://adiemusfree.blogspot.com/ to see how big really!
Good action shot! I like how the one seagull seems to be looking deep in the water.

@Craiger: It was probably looking for the scraps of fish gut my man had thrown into the water!
Not as good as the earlier ones. Would love to see one show with a fish on the claws!

@Shuva Brata Deb: I agree I think if I'd had the polarising filter it would have brought the colour out in the water - but I quite liked the almost random placement of the birds flying around the frame. I didn't get one with the fish in the claws - I was trying too hard to hold onto the fish for my dinner!!
peaceful and beutiful. Great work.

@Still: Yes, it's a complicated ballet they do...

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks - I wasn't quite as pleased with the colour, this was before I got the polarising filter!!

@objectif-plume: merci (my only bit of french!!)
I personally like the wing of the top bird. The bottom most bird was little blurred. Other 2 birds are not coming into my mind at all.

@Prem: Yup, that one was slightly out of DOF I think, the other two are 'fillers'. I liked the wing too... Lovely things wings, wish I had 'em sometimes when I'm stuck in traffic!
Graceful work!

Very nice "loose" composition with the birds scattered. Great shot!

@Michael Zhang: Thank you! My daughter said it was 'random' but she seems to use that word about almost everything nowadays!
The detail is amazing, I love it! Makes me miss the beach!

@jennifer radio: If I'm not near the sea, I'm near a river or waterfall or something - or else I turn into a dried up old prune.
dazzling! i love the action shot and detail.
