"Lean your body forward slightly to support the guitar against your chest, for the poetry of the music should resound in your heart.” Andre Segovia
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

@badala: thank you Badala... I didn't do anything to alter the colouring except I see I was wearing red, so it may have influenced the light a little!
Is it rosewood? And brass? How much closer can you get! Amazing angle and highlights.

@Sidonie: Yes, you got it in one! Rosewood, brass machined heads, and cedar body. A beautiful instrument. Can't blame the guitar for the sound of my playing!!!
Your beloved one seems to be made of very good material. Very nice angle!

Wow you're a musician too!! Is there no end to your creativity!!! I love it. Thank you for showing another side of your art.

@Colour blind: I don't think I'd go as far as to say I'm a musician - I used to play the piano for years, but the guitar is just because I wanted to set myself a goal that was unrelated to the 'real' world, and just poddle with. It's great fun and I'm a very bad player - but it doesn't matter!!
beautiful close-up, the colors make the wood smell almost detectable.

Lovely photo and lovely quotation to go with it. I loved your previous photo as well. Both shots bear a certain tangibility.

@Shuva: You're right about the blisters!!!
Ooh, Ooh, Ooh I love this shot!! Superb close, crisp, warm, intimate shot!!! It's a thing of beauty indeed.

@Dawn Sutherland: Thank you - I'm in love with this instrument - my first guitar was a $99 thing with a warped neck and you couldn't even pull the strings down to play a chord, so this is a pleasure indeed.
I sense a series here. Great tones and warm color again.

@Dan Meyers: just two this time!
fantastic close up! your regard for the instrument is obvious and looks to be well deserved..

So Beautiful!! I can feel that you love this guitar.

Beautiful shot. I have a preference for the bass myself, although nowadays I play more piano than anything else. Glad to have another musician on Am3.
18 Feb 2007 3:56am
@Aaron Schmidt: Hi Aaron, not sure that i'd call myself a musician, but I do love to play! I would love to play bass, and I do have the piano at home, but this is a bit more portable and I can play without a band which is great.
What an absolutely beautiful quote! And a superb shot Bronnie. Well done! Amazing tones and detail - in BOTH these guitar shots. Makes me want to pick it up again.
I have never heard that quote from Segovia before. Thankyou so much for sharing.

@Stu: Thanks so much, I got the quote off the net (where else?!) and I just love that one, it's so true.
