Beach artist curves

You can get some idea of the scale of this artwork. I took this from the pier above but couldn't quite get the whole picture in.
This drawing is number 666 (no significance to that number at all!), but to see an example of an earlier work, you can visit http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/254f3/1cb9e2/a/. If I can get down to see him at work again I'll get some shots of his completed art.

Hi guys!
This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like.
This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be.

@Putter: Good idea, I haven't tried B&W for this series, as it has such a limited palette anyway, but I may just have a go now!

love this bronnie! a unique image. I love the emptiness of the scene other than the man and his art. great compostion to isolate him from the rest of his environment.

@Duncan Galbraith: Thanks Duncan, it's amazing how other people on the beach respect him enough to give him space - there were quite a few on the beach itself, but there were heaps above him on the pier. Quite a few tourists come to watch since he appeared on a show with Billy Connelly when Billy was touring NZ.

Wow, terrific again. If anything, I like this more than the previous shot of him. The shimmer of the sand makes it appear as if he's pushing along an invisible boat through an otherworldly sea.

This is a really great photo - I agree this is better than before - but they are all amazing. He always looks so graceful! I like the color and tones of your photo, better than the enlarged version of a finished sand drawing at the site you posted! Great series - go down and do some more! :-)
