At times through the 'performance', the artist stops, on one foot, he follows the curves of his drawing with his body. Then, as if part of a great worshipful dance, he begins to draw again.
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

This is fabulous. This one really appeals to me.

@Helen: Thank you, he was standing like this for just a moment and then he went back to the drawing again. Thanks for your visit!
toujours une pure merveille du lien entre danse, art pictural et danse

@objectif-plume: merci I think of it as a dance, meditation, art, dance... oh and performance too
Man! cant imagine how he manages to do this.

@Shuva: Standing on one leg, or drawing? I can do the one leg thing, but only for a moment, don't think I could do the drawing though!!!
Nice again Bronnie!! Really I like this series. Your work is great, and his performance is great too!! Thank you for sharing.

@Makoto: Thank you for visiting! It's my pleasure. He's an amazing artist, and his work is so ephemeral, just there for a tide... It's only if people take photo's that any image is kept, and he doesn't actually record his own works.
Oh yay! I saw this picture in your 'about' section and I was hoping you would post it because it's such a joyful shot. Makes me want to dance too!

@dYe: Cool! Let's dance together! It's great to share these shots.
This one really shows joy and the contrast of his dark silhouette with the beach and drawing, are exceptional.
@Sylvia: thank you, it was a pleasure taking this shot, and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Point and shoot on Auto is working really well for this series - its just amazing how you captured the essence of him. You have preserved his drawings even if the tide washes them away - don't forget to burn them to disc, to preserve them for a hundred years! Talking about hopping on one leg. At Christmas in Mexico we did the usual family charades thing and I was trying to get the hop word over - well! I hadn't hopped in many years - I didn't realize that I was getting too damed old - my balance completely went and I ended up on my backside!

@Anne: How old? or was it the vino?! :-D Yes, the shots are definitely burned to disc, backed up, and I've printed a series of them out too!
On the previous takes, the artist was always quite stativ and dead serious. This one makes him more likeable and we wish we could join in, in his dance! My favorite... so far!

These are great. Have you shown this guy your pictures? You should give him some prints!

@Daroru: yes, I've given him a couple, and he has put them up in the local gallery where he hangs out with couple of other artists.
I really like the whole of this image, it looks like he is in the middle of nowhere decorating the earth.

@Jenny: There were people walking by, stopping to watch, and he does interact, but there were times like this one, where he seemed to be in a world of his own
Wow, no one that interesting around here. Maybe I'll head up to San Franciso later today :)
Beautiful - I'm imagining him at this point flying up into the sky...

I can heard the Beethoven's Symphony no 9, The ode of joy! A fantastic shot! Bravo for this serie.

@Martine Lapointe: Thank you - I hadn't thought of Beethoven, more like Rachmaninoff or something!! But yes, fabulous music for reverie...
