All good kiwi's enjoy a beach bach holiday. Fire on the beach, fresh seafood, nice cold beer and the inevitable person playing '10 guitars'...
ps much of the work that I'm doing on Photoshop comes from watching the podcast 'Photowalkthrough', which shows from camera through processing to completed image. Very informative, lots of encouragement, and I've learned so much from it. You can either download it via iTunes, or you can go to 'Photowalkthrough.com' and download it there.
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. Has a wonderful '40's feel to it. The sepia was a very good choice. Changes the story from yesterday delightfully.

@Zing: Thanks Zing! Sorry I haven't been visiting recently, been away and now have a cold...sigh. But the day I took these was the day I bumped my head and got concussion, so it remains quite a strong memory!!!
Good shot, the sepia tones are great.

@frank: Thanks Frank, the tones come from a process that was supposed to mimic photolith, but I modified it a little to tone it down.
Great stuff again. Has that feeling of a lost family snapshot. Love it!
