Slowly ~ the shadows of evening have grown, Still, I keep watch on the glow ahead; The light in the window leads me home, I am blessed and my soul is fed.

I have been experimenting with working with a limited palette of colours, and some blur and glow to create a gentle image that is slightly old-fashioned without losing too much detail. Amazing what having to sit still and rest a lot does for the creative eye! Thanks for visiting and commenting, and once again my apologies for not being active in the community at this time, my brain is needing to rest!!
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

Your experimenting is wonderful - great soft tones which compliment this image and the objects within.

A wonderful effect Bronnie.

hey bronnie! I love the Processing of the image here. not just the technical execution but the choices which lay behind it. It has an almost nostalgic element to it (bizarre as its not my memory).

Beauty of the photograph is enhanced by the poem.

I really love your processing. The poem and photo are great together. Keep them coming and don't worry about not being able to give comments.

Just lovely. The muted tones with the unspoken invitation to come in... makes me smile.

@Craiger: Thanks Craiger - This one took a while to get to where I wanted it, the combination of the bluish light outside and the golden inside, without looking way artificial. I'm pretty happy with it now, but there was a bit of swearing for a while!
