I have seen more tides than you have had days and watched more moons than you have turned the calendar pages and I sigh upon the shore as you sigh your breath upon soft skin
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

Wow, breathtaking! Love the waves and the blurry water. Very nice colours too!

@Zing: Thanks Zing - the colours are unaltered in this shot, no filters, nothing! This is pretty much as shot, perhaps with a bit of cropping. All done in PS CS2.
Super soft. Great capture. How many seconds?
10 Apr 2007 1:36am
@Sujit: half a second, can't remember the f stop though. Light was getting quite down at the time, towards late afternoon.
this is extraordinary - what a great capture - I just love the soft mistyness of the water

You are great Bronnie! It was impossible not to go up and watch it again and again before typing any comment.

@Behrooz: Thanks! Just a slow shutter speed, camera on tripod... and an amazing location!
Really Really wonderful..How did you capture this ???

@Yvon: You're very welcome!
Gorgeouser and gorgeouser Bronnie! What a wonderful effect.
10 Apr 2007 8:58am
@Daroru: Thanks Daroru - just leave the shutter open for a long time (camera on tripod), and if it's too bright, put in a neutral density filter (and add a polariser too if you're really desperate!) and hang on...
I have no idea how you make the water look like that, but it is absolutely gorgeous!!!
10 Apr 2007 9:44am
@Jen: See what I wrote to Daroru, just hold the shutter open with the camera on the tripod...works a treat!
Love the peaceful and dreamy atmosphere. Really good!

@colourblind: Thanks! I can't remember where the poem comes from, but it really suited the mood and how I felt while we were camping out by the beach.
Just beautiful as the previous one. Great work!

@Srinivas Koduri: Thanks for your visit! I'm just coming to grips with long exposures - learning not to use the auto controls on the D50!!
Oh wow Bronnie. These shots are really something else! The intensity of the colour and of course your superb framing are breathtaking.

@Helen: Thanks Helen! I'm experimenting with composition at the moment, just learning about how far you can push the 'rule of thirds' thing!!
This is unbelievable for a shot straight out of the camera. Really awesome!
10 Apr 2007 2:47pm
@Ken McCoy: I was amazed too! Most of the other shots from this time were only touched up with a bit of dodging and burning, and adjusting the curve, and the odd healing brush, but this one didn't need anything.
Fabulous - just wonderful. That slow exposure really worked a treat. Must go back and see some of your others I've missed. I had to go back and look at this one more and more wondering what to say - and I realized that everyone else has said it all! :-)

@Anne: Thanks Anne - I've been a bit quiet on the comments front, but I'm on my way back on the road to recovery now!
Geaogous Colors! Great shot! My favorite today!
10 Apr 2007 3:17pm
@AM Pilon: Thanks! The colours were lovely that night, changing as the day went into dusk. Light cloud cover at times, and it was very still too. Our Indian Summer - given that we didn't really have a good summer it's been nice!
Oh My! What a terrific piece of work, Bronnie! Absolutely lovely capture.
