Zing from Hamilton, New ZealandWow, breathtaking! Love the waves and the blurry water. Very nice colours too! 10 Apr 2007 5:44am @Zing: Thanks Zing - the colours are unaltered in this shot, no filters, nothing! This is pretty much as shot, perhaps with a bit of cropping. All done in PS CS2. @Sujit: half a second, can't remember the f stop though. Light was getting quite down at the time, towards late afternoon. Art Monkey from Salt Spring Island, Canadathis is extraordinary - what a great capture - I just love the soft mistyness of the water 10 Apr 2007 7:20am Behrooz from Tehran, IranYou are great Bronnie! It was impossible not to go up and watch it again and again before typing any comment. 10 Apr 2007 8:55am @Behrooz: Thanks! Just a slow shutter speed, camera on tripod... and an amazing location! KM Faisal from Kerala,Kalpakanchery, Indiafantastic one nice shutter speed photo 10 Apr 2007 10:12am Yvon from Meerkerk, NetherlandsReally wonderful! I love the poem as well. It's always a pleasure to visit your site and be surprised. 10 Apr 2007 11:55am @Yvon: You're very welcome! Daroru from Osaka, JapanGorgeouser and gorgeouser Bronnie! What a wonderful effect. 10 Apr 2007 1:58pm @Daroru: Thanks Daroru - just leave the shutter open for a long time (camera on tripod), and if it's too bright, put in a neutral density filter (and add a polariser too if you're really desperate!) and hang on... Jen from Jessup, United StatesI have no idea how you make the water look like that, but it is absolutely gorgeous!!! 10 Apr 2007 2:44pm @Jen: See what I wrote to Daroru, just hold the shutter open with the camera on the tripod...works a treat! @Putter: Thanks for visiting and your kind comments. colourblind from Tokyo, JapanLooks like a painting. I love the poem it fits the photo to a tee. Excellent use of a slow shutter speed. 10 Apr 2007 4:17pm @colourblind: Thanks! I can't remember where the poem comes from, but it really suited the mood and how I felt while we were camping out by the beach. Srinivas Koduri from Wheeling, IL, United Statesthe long exposure makes it really surreal. lovely words too.. cool work. 10 Apr 2007 6:03pm @Srinivas Koduri: Thanks for your visit! I'm just coming to grips with long exposures - learning not to use the auto controls on the D50!! Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaOh wow Bronnie. These shots are really something else! The intensity of the colour and of course your superb framing are breathtaking. 10 Apr 2007 6:06pm @Helen: Thanks Helen! I'm experimenting with composition at the moment, just learning about how far you can push the 'rule of thirds' thing!! Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesThis is unbelievable for a shot straight out of the camera. Really awesome! 10 Apr 2007 7:47pm @Ken McCoy: I was amazed too! Most of the other shots from this time were only touched up with a bit of dodging and burning, and adjusting the curve, and the odd healing brush, but this one didn't need anything. Anne from White Rock, CanadaFabulous - just wonderful. That slow exposure really worked a treat. Must go back and see some of your others I've missed. I had to go back and look at this one more and more wondering what to say - and I realized that everyone else has said it all! :-) 10 Apr 2007 8:03pm @Anne: Thanks Anne - I've been a bit quiet on the comments front, but I'm on my way back on the road to recovery now! @AM Pilon: Thanks! The colours were lovely that night, changing as the day went into dusk. Light cloud cover at times, and it was very still too. Our Indian Summer - given that we didn't really have a good summer it's been nice! Addey Kehinde from London, United KingdomOh My! What a terrific piece of work, Bronnie! Absolutely lovely capture. 10 Apr 2007 8:34pm @Addey Kehinde: Thanks Addey! Roberta Murray from Rocky Mountain House, CanadaBeautiful ocean scene.
