A macrocarpa across the road from me, in the golf course.
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

You have captured a very unique (and wide) tree! Too bad about the fence around it. Any idea of how old this tree might be?

@Lydia: It's probably about 40 years old. The fence belongs to the golf course, so it's probably best I don't remove it!!
an amazing tree - I kind of like the fence because it makes the tree seem special - to me anyway :)

That's a n interesting tree. Never seen it in my part of the world. Great shot.

I've never seen that kind of tree before either - must be native to your part of the world. It's gorgeous and you've done a great job of capturing it too!.
Hope you are feeling better? I didn't know you had hurt yourself until I saw Jen's comments. I hadn't been posting much myself because of a fall - one of the injuries was my right hand and index finger - so I couldn't get around here much during March into April.

These are such wonderful trees! Our friends in White Man Valley have one on their property that they have pictures of from when their farm was first developed... 100 years ago!! Wonderful colour and I think you've captured the depth of the tree very well. ;-)
