For those of you who are curious - I have never shot a self-portrait before, it was an assignment from PhotoWalkthrough.com podcast (get it! it's free!!). In processing I added grain, the shot was quite dark so I increased contrast and played with colour overlays (but for the life of me I can't remember exactly what I did!!), and hey presto here she is!
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. I'm also writing a health-related blog - if you're interested, hop on over to http://healthskills.wordpress.com/ and make yourself known!

@Jen: OK, yes I'm a bit of a nutter!!
It's always so great to put a face to a name.... And a fabulous face at that... no bs.. Love the grain and pp you used. I've been thinking I should do a self-portrait... but I'm not photogenic and kind-a like that air of mystery OY what a pile that is.. LOL
