it's my birthday - so I celebrate with more wrinkles!
Hi guys! This year I'll be putting up fewer shots, but hopefully improving the quality at the same time. Sort of a 'best of' if you like. This community is terrific in so many ways - I love it even if I don't often comment. The people on here make it a great place to be. @Zing: Thanks Zing - I was really pleased with this shot, as I said to Sidonie, it's the first one I've tried using low tones...was hard to review the histogram and resist temptation to up the brightness!!

@badala: Thank you! The leaves are really crinkled and have wonderful veins, but no lovely colours, just go brown. But great to photograph!

@Sidonie: Thanks Sidonie - it's the first time I've used low tones in a shot, so I was quite pleased with how it turned out... There is quite a story to my birthday - you'll see photographic evidence of the day out, stranded on an island in the middle of Lyttelton Harbour, sometime later in June!!!
